This bomber shell was designed as an "EDW" item. It hits at the hip with adjustable hem cord, and has just enough pockets for your everday goodies without being too busy or as if you just came off of Everest.
These are being handled for us by an extreme-sports outwear company. In fact their main office is just about 3 blocks down the street from the TAD warehouse. The frontman for this outerwear company producing our jacket design is former forcerecon so we speak the same language.
Our jacket features:
-4x4 texturized H20proof/breathable nylon with DWR coating
-all taped seams for total waterproofness
-2 handwarmer pockets, raised higher off hem to allow wearing of LBE, pack waist staps, fanny pack
-1 front chest pocket with internal map pouch
-1 left sleeve pocket with internal wire pass thru for communications, PDA's, MD players, cell phones.
-reinforced double elbows and stiching thruout
-1 large dual entry passthru "duck pocket" on jacket back
-standup collar
-small pen pocket inside windflap designed to fit fisher space pens
-1 inside pocket
-coolmax mesh lining
-will be available in OD Green, Black, and Battle Gray
We hope to have these ready by Sept., just in time for autumn. Our jackets are meant for 4 season wear and are cut loose for seasonal layering. Styled logically and simply for street wear in NYC to the mountains of Nepal, this jacket will take it.
Should be around $250.00 when ready. All the technical details and quality of comparible "bigname" outdoorwear brands without the skyhigh pricetag.
Waterproof matching boonie caps are also in development for those in especially wet environs.
...and oh yeah, it looks great with your favorite Strider knife.
