I just bought one of those red leatherman micras, it works great and I've used it a bunch of times already (whoever is jamming coins into the slots of pay phones in Seattle, die, die, die..) but I had a few questions for anyone else who also owns one:

- when using the scissors, I've noticed that the blades tend to overlap when they meet -- rather than meeting and stopping, they meet, then go past each other. Is this normal, or did I get a weird one?

- has anyone else had a problem with the coloring flaking off? I worried about this before getting the red one but it was just too tempting.

Good Evening, Novadak.
It is I, Vampire Gerbil

As self proclaimed Master of Micra Wak Do, I felt that I'd be remiss in not addressing your question.
The scissors on my wife's Micra overlap in the manner in which you describe.
(By the way, if Seattle payphones started accepting Israeli Sheckles, you wouldn't have that problem.)

Alas, I'm more of a traditionalist/survivalist Micra user, so I prefer the Micra the way the Good Lord intended, in shiny stainless steel.
(Okay, I admit it. They didn't sell the red micras for $7 like they did with the silver ones)
For more information on the deadly capabilities of the Leatherman Micra, feel free to visit my webpage located in my signature.

Off to replace my sheckles with dimes in case Novadak gets too good with the self defense lessons learned at my sight,
I remain,
I, Vampire Gerbil

I wrote most of that at work after drinking massive amounts of coffee. I needed to look busy and that dribbled out of my head. There's also a whole bunch of Optical Illusions.
