micro cassette to cd via PC?

Stupid question. Is it possible to connect a microcassette recorder to a computer, convert the sound to wav and burn it onto a cd?

As loong as you have an analog input on your sound card it's no problem, although high fidelity recordings are a different issue. Google for a freeware app called Audiograbber. It works just fine for anything coming off a microcassette.

Just connect the earphone jack of the recorder to the microphone jack of your sound card.

Good. I am taking a class that has a guest speaker next week. I would like to record him. If its any good I'll put it on cd.
