I'm putting together an order from micro-surfacing.com of micro-mesh ultrafine belts, and have been curious about these "diamond" belts. They run like $35 vs $2.50 for 1x18" belts, are they really what, 15x better than the normal mx belts??

Has anyone used them?

If they really are diamond belts, and it appears they are, they would be worth the difference... but it depends on what you're sharpening... for example, high vanadium steels would benefit from it. If you're sharpening "regular" knives, maybe not. "Worth it" becomes more of how and what you're using them for... I would look at it as to whether or not you need diamond for what you're sharpening... for example, they may not necessarily last 15x longer, but will leave a better edge on some steels. (Yeah, that's a bit redundant).

Haven't used them, so can't attest to quality... but looks interesting!

I have them , very nice to use you get a much nicer finish than grit belts.
You should price check around , I am sure I did not pay that much .

The Diamond belts? I already have and use the mx ones, the expensive ones are mxD

Haven't even found them for sale elsewhere at all :/
