as all of you know i jump madly from one brand to another, lol, IE my recent infatuation w/MT knives. anyway a few questions for ya'll.....

1) what is MT's web address??

2) what is the 'brend pre production grind' and how does it effect the value of SOCOM elite M/A's?? SOCOM elite was not made w/tanto blades, right, in the M/A format??

3)how many M/A SOCOM elite were made, about??

4) does MT still make the socom or socom elite in the M/A format??

5) any gen'l info on socom/socom elite much appreciated......

i really like the last 2 MT's i have gotten, much impressed, was basing my opinion on MT on a old mini SOCOM i had a while back, an the SOCOM i recently got is 20X the knife the old mini socom was, imho. anyway, i do like the SOCOM's, FWIW lol

..........I can tell you that in my opinion the Socom Elite is the best knife MT has produced. The clip blade is just what it should be. Although I am partial to the pre-pro grind, the regular grind is a better cutter/slicer. The tanto only came in the auto format as far as I know. Since the Brend grind had so few made it would probably be worth more down the road. Try www.microholics.org then go to a post by Valmet that has a list of MT's and values. It is one of the top three post. It is also the most comprehensive list you will find! www.microtechknives.com is the web address.
 
4) Microtech does not make the Socom Elite in manual or Auto format, a few months ago there was a specail edittion S90 claw Logo Socom E manual for sale.
 
i just got my SOCOM elite w/a brend prepro grind part serr blade and anapeen finish, love it. i also have a SOCOM M/A and prob should carry it as i think the elites w/the brend grind are hard to come by, but i like it so much i might just carry it anyway!! they are really nice knives, almost custom quality imho, esp the elite's. i really need to get my camera going.........

ooh, you lucky bastard :( I"m still looking for that plain edge SE M/a prepro grind knife... with no avail. (I've found some part serrated... maybe i should just settle w that :S) at least no non serrateds in my price range.. anyone selling one used??? come one.. someone?
 
I have two SE's on the way as we speak. I can't wait. One with mirror blade and the other black coated blade. As well as a LUDT. This will be one of the best mail days ever!! These will be my first MT's.:D

I have never seen so many people with money to spend looking to buy a Production knife with no luck. It must say something about the knife, People that have one, don't want to part with it I guess. Thats just my guess
 
yeah, seems so :( man.. ppl, just give it up!! gimme the plain edge knife! junkyard, ive seen a ton of serrated offerings for a decnt price... also a few of the production clip points. I don't like those clips so....... but meh. let me know i guess. -John

Do you remember where you saw the prodution clip point elites? I'll take a couple of them as long as the have plain edge blades.
