Microbar

i have questions about the MICROBAR.

Well basically i want to know what it looks like...(i like to make up my own mind regarding locks)

so is this the microbar of the Socom Elite?

What is the diameter of the "pivot" for the bar? I have heard it described as similar to that of a watch band?

I carry a MT SOCOM-E plain edge, new grind, polished blade and rayskin inserts (thanks Matt!). That is excactly the microbar as in the SOCOM-E. The regular SOCOM's were linerlocks I believe.

The pivot pin is a tad thicker then of a watch, but the hardcoated Aluminium takes most of the punch when you wanna go on strength.

In my experience it is not really a linerlock, more like a framelock.
Some people say it can fail the spine whack test.. well my opinion..
1. if you wanna destroy your knife, please consider sending it to me first, I proably can use it better.
2. it is more then strong enough for me.


I think it's one of the better locking systems.
