Has anyone ever made a micarta type material from those microfiber cloths? I've looked for a little bit and haven't found anything. I was thinking that it would be really cool especially with the bright colored ones, the greens and yellows, I have a light grey and orange ones too. If I had the knowledge and materials to do it myself I would but I'm not into the make your own stuff to much.

This stuff

I think it's a little thick, usually making micarta involves thinner layers than that. I'm sure it's possible, and I bet that would be a cool texture! Hopefully someone will be inspired by your question to give it a shot. I'm a tinkerer and DIYer by nature, but my list of projects is already longer than my free time allows :o

Ha never thought of sham wow lol

The one on the left is about as thinner than an average t shirt the one on the right is a little thicker. I've seen people make it out of quilted yarn items I think it would work just fine. I hope someone does do it, heck I might even go and pick up some resin and rig up something to try it myself. I'm curious.

Give it a shot! Watch some videos on youtube, it should only be an hour or so of work then just letting it set for a while. I'd love to see how it turns out.

I've seen paracord micarta so I don't know why this wouldn't work. Give it a shot, I'd like to see it done.
