Microserrations on a Dagger?

So upon the suggestion of members here, I have started the practice of not sharpening the blade on some of my knives to a very fine level (2000 grit or so), and finishing it off at a medium grit level

usually i am able to guess which knives should be sharpened with a fine edge, and which ones (or parts as the case may be) should have microserrations

but what do you guys think about daggers? i am inclined to think that if you were to use it, it would be in a stabbing motion, and the action at the edge would be that of a pull cut as opposed to a push cut, but i would like a second opinion

most daggers are employed with a thrust or a stabbing motion. the majority of daggers are not profiled for slashing damage. on my knives of this type i leave an aggressive saw edge. the only 3 i possess are a d2 kabar, an older gerber & the real sticker a wilson combat elite in s30.

I prefer the serrations closer to the tip of the blade, in a stab they will be very effective. Especially if you have to stab through something. The secondary point on a tanto blade which is kept sharp, serves this purpose as well like a single serration. On a dagger I would have one side serrated the other plain edge, like SOG pentagon.
