For you people that haven't heard yet, the Microtech Balisong is already in the works. Yes, you read correctly - Microtech is obviously showing interest in the balisong, by working on it so soon.

There isn't much information on the MT Bali Project, as I like to call it, yet. But the entire thing is being handled by a mystery distributor...

I'm hoping this guy will be willing to reveal himself (or maybe herself), on this forum so that everyone would be able to pitch some ideas at him/her for the MT bali. Oh, we'd be so helpful.. we really would, sir.

Swwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly wait. Of course it'll probably cost around $200+, just like MT autos.

is half the fun!

masse, thanks for the kind words - but truth is, it couldn't have been done without you guys showing your support for the project. So with this in mind, please log onto the Microtech Forums over on knifeforums.com and show your interest for the MT Balisong.

I'm still wondering who the lucky guy in charge of this thing is, too.

Also, I know this is a little off topic, but has anyone seen the new Microtech blade inlays on the Halo 2.3s? Those are sweet! They should put abalone inlays on the MT Bali (on the blade and handles). If you haven't seen the blade inlays yet, you can check them out here:

I don't know, do you think they'd be able to hold up to bali manipulations?

No, that's why I made sure I made the post before April 1st

. Nice observation, though.

lol, yeah I know. I just had to get mention of april fools in here somewhere. I was going to make a prank post, but nothing was coming to me

OK I will let the cat out of the bag.

I am the mystery man!

Tony and I will work on the design Wednesday. I will be down there most of the day. Now the official MT Bali-Song thread will be here and I will help on all the forums on this project, which will not be the only project in the works between Tony and I.

I can't believe I never knew that Bladeforums.com is located in Florida. I didn't know anything cool was based here. That means I am closer to a MT Bali than I though. Okay maybe not closer to owning one but closer location wise

When will pre-orders be taken? I'd drop some cash right now for one.
