HAS ANY ONE SEEN THE MICROTECH BALISONG YET? WHAT DO YOU THINK?
I THINK BENCHMADE IS THE FIRST TO BRING THEM BACK INTO THE MAIN
STREAM & WILL CONTINUE TO DOMINATE THE MARKET.

DONT GET ME WRONG IM NOT BAD MOUTHING IT, IN NO WAYS AT ALL,
MICROTECH AUTOS ARE THE FINEST KNIVES ON THE MARKET TODAY."LOOKING FORWARD TO THE ULTRATECH.ANTHONY". BALISONGS ON THE OTHER HAND ARE RELATIVLY NEW TO MICROTECH AND HAVE FEWER OPTIONS THAN BENCHMADE,,I KNOW SOME MIGHT SAY,"BENCHMADE QUALITY CONTROL LACKS A BIT" BUT NOT
ALL MANUFACTURERS HAVE PRODUCED A BALI FOR SO MANY YEARS SUCCESSFULY.

Mike, when do you hope to begin shipping them? I've got one on order and I'm looking very forward to it. :)

"East Coast" maybe around Maryland, "ALL CAPS POSTS", is this another profile from pammo/rock etc??

Tachyon? Been there. Done that. Got the pictures.

You can see more pictures and read more about it as part of my Bladeshow 2001 Report on my website.

BTW, Monarch... the other new entry everyone is waiting for... Been There. Done that. Got the pictures too! Same report.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP USING CAP LOCKS AND LEARN TO USE SOME PUNCTUATION IT FEELS LIKE YOUR TALKING TO A ROBOT AND IT REALLY ISNT THAT HARD TO JUST RELEASE THE CAPS LOCK AND THROW IN A PERIOD OR A COMMA OR SOMETHING HERE AND THERE IT MAKES THINGS A LOT LESS CONFUSING AND GENERALLY LESS ANNOYING TO READ I HAVE A FRIEND WHO NEVER USES PUNCTUATION AND IT IS SO TREMENDOUSLY HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE HELL SHES SAYING I THINK THIS APPLIES HERE TOO

And I'm really looking forward to the Tachyon- it looks quite promising.

I played with they Tachyon a bit at Blade, and it appears to be a damn fine knife to me... I just can't wait until mine is in my hand:)

I am shooting for September on delivery and this date is still valid from Tony so it looks like we are on target :)

Gollnick, it's probably my bad vision but it looks like the latch is on the "safe" handle in your picture of the Tachyon. Is this because the latch is reversible and that is your preference? Or is this how it will come out of the factory?

Mike Turber, any chance we will be seeing a lefty version from Microtech? This crap about no one releasing a lefty bali needs to change!

 :D  :D  :D :D :D

Have you ever considered the amount of retooling a manufacturer would have to do to make a left-handed bali? :D :D :D

Mike,
Is there any chance of a pocket clip? I think it would be a great EDC even though I am new to Balisongs.
Thanks,
Reed

a left-handed bali? how would that work???

and the pictures chuck posted had the latch already set in the manilla configuration. It's how Mike had it when he brought it there

The amount of engineering that would go into a left handed Bali would be beyond the technical ability of Microtech. I would have to go to China to get it made :D

The pictures I took at Bladeshow show the latch in Manila configuration. But, by the end of the show, Mike had rounded up a Torx driver and swapped it over to Batangas configuration. While I'm comfortable with either, my guess is that Mike got tired of passing out bandages to folks who aren't so flexible.

Hey, how about a balisong with 2 latches, it may not lock open or closed (unless the latches interlock together) but that would teach you how to manipulate a manila!!! :D:D
