I've been looking for a SHTF knife and the Microtech Currahee has my attention.
Does anybody have any experience with these knives? Good/bad?

Thanks
Bri

It is a great knife in a useable size and should be very tough. Microtech does not make many bad products and this is one of the better ones I bought two a while back; and just gave the one out of the safe to a friend of my Son who just joined the Army and is leaving this week.

I bought one from a local dealer a few months back. It's a very solid full tang knife with a grippy and well designed handle. The D2 blade is wicked sharp out of the box. My only complaint is that the sheath is bulky and seems to be designed for MOLLE carry rather than belt carry. Of course you could always have a sheath made to your specs. Another great SHTF blade would be the Fallkniven A1. It is a mighty tough blade and will cost you about $70 less than the Currahee.
