Just wondering what the consensus is on this knife for a small/medium sized fixed blade for general utility use. main uses for this knife will be in the woods when I'm camping, may keep it on my gear( hopefully going to be on the ERT unit at the pentagon soon). no I will not be taking a baton to this knife and chopping with it but it may see some hard and unusual use. for the record I want to know about the non serrated version mainly.

Myself and two of my friends have the cross hair version hanging on our molle gear. it rides on my front left. if the regular curahee is as good as the cross hair than it will indee be an excellent knife. Microtech makes some pretty great stuff and the factory edges are always amazingly sharp.

If you like the looks and are in the market for a small-medium fixed blade then i think you would be quite pleased with a curahee. i trust it enough to bring it with me to afghanistan. that should really sum up my opinions on it :)

thanks razor. I'm looking at the original currahee fwiw. what branch are you in? i have several army and marine friends in the trash can at the moment and a buttload of nat'l guard friends from my old unit (116th inf. Bravo Co.)

Yes I did. It's not what I'm looking for. I don't want an EDC sized knife. I dont want a K-BAR(size reference) either. I'm asking about the currahee because of its size.
