  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Anyone out here own a Microtech DOC? My full blackout version arrived 3 days ago and I'm wondering what the break-in process ends up like. That subframe lock is a bear to operate right now. Anyone know if that smooths out and gets easier to operate?

Stay with it through many open/cycles and everything gets smoother to the point where you can even open the folder with the thumb studs. My black one (made in June 2013) was tighter than the more recent red one (made in December 2013). Also, they made the pocket clip friendlier.

Ya I do appreciate the new pocket clip. My main issue seems to be lockup. Its almost like the subframe lock is engaging 100% and is absolutely a pain to disengage. My thumbs are fairly weathered from work and its shredding them. Did the lock smooth out for you as well?

Yes. Give it a few days as long as your thumb holds up.
