Gang- I just saw a pic of the Microtech fixed blades. They look nice, the Currahee especially.
Any word on these knives?
maybe someone could post a pic please.

Be carfull when you buy one of these. Make sure it is from an Microtech dealer. I like to think I know a little bit about knives but I got beat on ebay on a private sale. I paid about half the value of the knife at retail. It was not real cheap to raise a red flag and shame on me for not checking into these further before I bought it.

So the one you got was a fake or something?

Wow!
I'll have to see wuts up with these and... the price tag.
Thanks for the fyi SG.

Maybe I am just missing something but the price seems to be in the range that you would expect to pay from a company at that is viewed as being in the upper tier of production knives. I also appears to come with a nice sheath instead of either the garbage or total lack of a sheath that far too many fixed blades ship with.

I have a Currahee Tanto. I'd have to look at it to see the year. Great knife.

Curious why the MT haters? Any forum threads to reference? I'll do some searching...

Anyway, I think they are great. I'm actually looking for a regular bladed Currahee. My tanto may find itself listed in the exchange.

Not a fan of the Crosshair for my purposes.

Marfione had burned every bridge he's ever crossed and a few that he only glanced at. The 0777 debacle is just the latest in a long line of scumbag moves.

If their one piece knives weren't 440A I'd snag one in a heartbeat. 440C seems like it would be much better? I reckon stainless/rust resistance must be the top priority with those? Otherwise the knife/design and sheath look fantastic.

The Microtech Warranty is non-transferrable. It's for the original registered owner only. http://www.microtechknives.com/our-warranty.php

Microtech makes all of their knives in batches. I had to send in a Whaleshark with a defective bead blast finish. They didn't have any bead blast blades left, so they called me up and asked me what other finishes would suffice. I've always said Microtech operates with a small company mindset and a large company user base.

If you have any issues, I recommend contacting your dealer to help cut through the sh*t.

I do wish the Currahees were cheaper. They are neat knives. Dealer cost has gone up significantly on these so there's little wiggle room compared to "MSRP".

Looking at the Currahee, $250 for a USA made .20, 4.5" S35vn blade with a molded handle seems like a pretty good deal considering the prices of some other manufactures. Only criticism I can find of the knife itself is that the screws aren't heat treated.

Anything else wrong with it?
