Microtech lanyards

hey does anyone know what kind of nylon string microtech uses for their stock lanyards?
is it paracord?
if anyone knows then i'd appreciate the info.

Can you tie that lanyard and make it look like the pictures? It's quite emabrrassing, but I can't do it. I even WATCHED a guy do it once, on a moving train. He made it LOOK easy, and I still can't do it. Hey, maybe we should switch screen names!

The lanyard knot isn't hard. Basically it's a hangmans noose with the tag end through the lanyard hole and doubled back before wrapping.

Hhm Maybe it is hard:^)
 
Yeah, it worked earlier. I actually went to the site and copied/pasted it.
Now www.chrisreeve.com isn't coming up for me at all. A link to the knot is under FAQs on the Reeve site (which is apparently down at the moment).
Hopefully it'll be back up soon.

The link started working last night and my wife figured out how how to tie the lanyard on my "UDT". The only thing is that the knot is about 1.5 in. from the loop that goes through the lanyard hole in the knife. I kind of like it that way. If the purpose of the lanyard is to have something to "grab" and pull the knife out of it's sheath, the knot being 1.5 in. from the knife gives me something to grab.
What do you think?
