Hello fellow forum members, I have another question for you:

Does the LCC have the Microbar lock like the Socom Elite, or is it of the standard, liner lock type? Also, could someone post pictures of the locking mechanism? I am trying to decide between a LCC, or Socom Elite. Sorry for the repeated questions on these two knives.

Thanks,

You may have already gotten your answer from a previous thread, but the LCC has a pretty thick steel liner, not the micro-bar. I'm not sure what kind of steel it is though.

The liner-lock on the LCC is about as precise as anything you'll see this side of a custom. I have absolute faith in it. When the LCC first was introduced, it came in at $150 retail--an amazing price for a near-custom piece. The prices are higher now.

BTW, my comments on the other thread only deal with my opinions of MT's policies of suddenly discontinuing seemingly successful knives and have nothing to do with my feelings as to the quality of their offerings. They have been, and continue to be,IMO, top rate.

have had both, and the LCC is a big improvement over the SOCOM imho anyway.....
