Microtech LCC--Who Can't Wait to Get One? Or two, or three...

I have a LCC/MA ordered and most of my spare time is spent thinking about how sweet it's gonna be when I finally get it. Is anybody else out there feelin' the same way? From what I've heard, this knife is going to be very cool. Also, can anyone explain the low price? $145?

Seems like the DA version will be cool, because scale release is something a little different. I think I probably would have ordered one if it were more lefty friendly

. I have discovered the fact that factories don't generally cater well to lefties has "forced" me to begin looking more at customs

All Microtech products are pretty good quality, but I had a mini-SOCOM...the only knife I've sold...just didn't like it enough to keep it.

ME!!! I can't wait for my D/A...I've had the damned thing paid for since the day someone mentioned the ad they saw in Blade with the collaboration.

BTW, I can't wait to see pics of your special L-CC's.

Hopefully the wait will be over by the middle of next week for those waiting on the manual version. A few may ship out as early as today.

The low cost should mainly be attributed to a new pricing direction for MT. Using the old methods of pricing, the LCC/MA would be around $220 MSRP and the DA would be around $400. Basically MT lowered the MSRP to reduce competition amongst dealers. The dealer cost remained about the same. This is why you no longer see the wide swing in prices amongst the dealers as most dealers are within $10 of each other.

The DA may become my daily carry.

I've got a M/A and D/A on preorder. My copy of BLADE w/LCC picture is so soaked with drool you can't even tell what it is anymore!

This is definitely the nicest custom collaberation I've seen. Now if I can just decide on the MA or DA, I'll get one on order.

If I could only have one, it would be the DA. The MA will be cool, but it ain't got that "snick".

If you choose or need to carry an MA only knife, you can simply convert your LCC. It's as simple as removing THE screw and removing the leaf spring. It's just as easy to replace it.

If you click on the picture link above, THE screw and directions are outlined.

If you are refering to the Damascus bladed, Damascus bolstered, Abalone scaled MT LCC DA . . . the pictures will be up ten minutes after the big brown truck drops it off. (if I don't take a drive over to MT and get pictures of them being manufactured)

By the way, since Mike brought it up, if you want to see pictures of the MA LCCs being manufactured (as well as other great MT items) click here.

Here is a "virtual" tour of MT I wrote up.

I am looking forward to the LCC also but I am concerned that Microtech is selling the LCC at $145 instead of $220 simply because of a change in pricing policy. This makes think that their products have been seriously overpiced all along. I always wondered why Masters of Defense was virtually identical to Microtech but were all around $159 MSRP.

So will there be manual LCC with 420V or are all of them 154CM.

Thanks.

All M/A's are 154Cm, not S90V. (420V) Of course all MT's WERE overpriced. Now, their right where they should be, IMO.

I dunno about this one...

I have a mini SOCOM, a CT II and a SOCOM on the way...but this is one knife that I think I'd have to 'feel out' before i shell out the cash for...

To me the shape doen't seem like it would fit comfortably...I dunno..maybe i can find a dealer in my area with an MA so i can give it a test run...then ill shell out the cash for a DA...

I think this is definitely going to be "THE" knife of the year. It appears to have everything going for it. Style, quality, durability and price. And I was happy to see MT finally change their pricing plan to make their knives more affordable. But if they only lowered their MSRP, the dealers are the ones that took the cut, not Microtech! Too bad!

Know its a big picture but thought you might enjoy seeing a side by side comparison of the LCC MA and DA prototypes. The DA prototype came with the cool sheath you see with the Lightfoot Shark design on it. The MA didn't have that style sheath. Don't know if the production versions will have it or not but it is a nice touch. By the color of the blades you can see the S90V has a slightly darker appearance than the 154CM. It is more noticable in the picture than real life. Note the nice blue anodized spacers on the MA. The pivot is a little beefier on the DA. The DA opens with the sweetest kerthwack that you have ever heard. Both are incredibly perfect, the finest side openers I have ever seen, bar none. This is the only matching set with smooth pivots (Thanks Tony!). Sorry, they are not for sale. KNIFE NIRVANA!

That knife looks so godawfully sweet I can hardly stand it!! I hope that sheath doesn't just come with the DA.

Great picture Chief!

While I can understand why so many of you are excited by this knife, personally, it just doesn't float my boat... so I'll be passing on this one.

As I've said before, the new pricing policy is definately a step in the right direction.

Thanks for the Kudos Spark.

Looks like I forgot to mention one of the best parts. These are the fastest opening autos I have ever seen. Amazing how quick the DA fires with the blade this big.
