Microtech LCC - why the price drop?

I'm seeing some MT LCC with the S30V blades are now discounted severly from $350 down to $190! What the heck is going on, over?

I've got an original 154CM model, seriously thinking of getting another one.

I am not sure why the price drop, maybe b/c they switched to Alum. bolsters, but if you like the LCC model, I would buy one now. According to some sources, the LCC is no longer in production and they say they will not be making them ever again. Well see about that one

I've also heard the same as TheBadGuy said. The LCC will be soon out of production. Get one now if you really want it. With MT, you never know. They may bring it back a year or so down the line.

Is the auto version to be out of production also?

Yes, the Manual and the D/A are supposedly no longer in production.

That's really too bad, it's a terrific knife. Used mine today to shred a TV box and to cut through the thick cardboard backing on one of those DIY entertainment centers. No probs at all. I may have to pick another one up myself.
