I picked this up in trade from a friend on FB recently and have no idea what it even is aside from being a MT. All of the threads I found on it were years old and I figured new information might help.

My questions are, whats it worth? To me it was a custom Benchmade Bedlam. Second is it as good as current production MTs?

I have the plain edge version, bought it new around 10 years ago somewhere in the neighborhood of $350. (I think...it was 10 years ago). I don't see too many of them these days. I have several MT knives and I think they are all great, this one is no exception. As far as what's it worth...don't know. What did you trade for it?

That is a very cool knife.

Thank you, sir.

I traded basically for a zt0560bw and a benchmade griptillian which I traded for a benchmade bedlam that was laser engraved from the factory with skulls done by ryan McGinnis.

No clue what that was really worth either lmao. So I have 270 in the MT pretty much. Just wondering if it was a good investment and why it was discontinued.

Not sure why it was discontinued, could've been around the time MT moved their offices and started focusing on their small arms business. I know they cut production on knives down for a period while they ramped the MSAR business. I love mine, and i think it is far more unique then what you traded away.

I have a 1st generation stonewashed plain edge with carbon fiber scales and titanium bolsters. It's a really cool knife, quality is top shelf. But it's shocking that they command Sebenza prices. It's a nice knife, but not that nice.

Back then there used to be a list the "Valmet list".
There where 2: one for sideopeners one for OTF's.
Probably the list or a derivate does still exist.
hope this helps

I have one of these also, but I seem to remember the scales are actually G-10 that has been machined to look like carbon fiber.

Later iterations may have been G-10, though I'm pretty sure they were micarta. Gen1s had carbon fiber scales.

Microtech LCC - It is a bad mofo for sure. I think you did great on the trade. I miss mine! I miss my Socom Elite too...

At some point they switched from titanium bolster's to aluminum bolster's, just can't remember when.

Id take this knife over a sabenza any day of the week... ok yes im trying to sell my LCC and ive never held or owned a sabenza and really have no desire to own one... but just going off looks and rarity id go for the LCC.... I can buy a sabenza any day of the week.
