May there is another more appropriate board to post this on, but since I couldn't find it ----

I saw a Microtech Terzuola 3/2004 with a Claw logo. What's up with these? I thought that they were discontinued.

I just got one. It has a cnc CM 154 ground blade (not hand ground) cost a little less.

I have a problem with mine, brand new and it opens by its self.....

paid a lot of money for it, you think it would work.

Take it back or talk to your dealer or send it to the factory. I have heard some ugly stuff about customer service lately. Beautiful product but what a shame. Can I be bold and ask what you had to pay for it? I have seen them on the web from $375 - at the show his asking price was $445.

$375 I called customer service. they are Rude :barf:

What have you heard? First time I called Microtech..

Other makers are happy to help....

All of my knowledge is from hear say and I will admit it. I just hear that many think that they are getting less product for more money and less service. Me personally, I had a LCC M/A that was very nice and a Mini Socom Elite that I still liked the frame lock better than any liner lock that I have owned.

I am wondering who the Microtech of 15 years ago is now? Who is putting out great stuff with superior quality materials with service and support after the sale?

Maybe I should just go and start buying Busse fixed blades. I love folders and am looking for value and quality. You have any ideas?

All that you need to do is get a RA # from MT. If you're not a LEO or active duty military the knife will have to be sent to a dealer, who will send it to you. Or. . .you can send it back to your dealer to hash out.

I've called MT a bunch of times (once for a knife repair and the rest to shoot the sh!t). . .was never treated unfairly.

Shoot me an e-mail and maybe we can get it worked out.

Clay1, the claw used to be reserved for limited runs and knives with a custom componet. Not so any longer. Look at the UT6. The Dagger logo indicates a hand ground blade.

Shadessean, sorry to hear about the self-firing. This was a problem with the first generation of the LCC/DA. MT changed the design lengthening the bolster to correct this. Since you just got it, you should contact the dealer you got it from and see if he will switch it for another one and he can return the defective knife to MT. If that is not possible, then like GigOne said, call and get a R/A number.

When I get time, I will send it back. They would not give me a turnaround time frame.
Maybe I should get a fixed blade sheath, and use It. Who make one ?

shadessean
