Friend wants my leek...badly..badly enough that he would trade me his Microtech Medallion. Question: Good deal, bad deal?

Obviously it is a good deal, but I need a good auto...which is why I am also posting in the Trading Forum. So hmm..should I trade and then trade the Microtech for a Leek or better?

That sounds like a good trade if you want a neck knife! They will be gone soon, I believe they are closeout and the leek will be around for a long time in case you ever miss it!:) Paul

Medallion has much better blade steel, and the sheath/tec-lok thing is cool as well. I sold my medallion, and am wishing I hadn't. I'd say go for it! You can always sell the medallion at a later date, and buy two leeks!

As far as trading for an auto, the Medallion will hold more trade value, as well.

Price and availablity wise its a good deal. If your not up to a necker and are looking to just trade into something that will move better in the exchange, thats a good idea. However, I am not sure if you will be able to get a good auto out of either knife. Unless you consider the speed safe an auto, in which case I would hold onto what you have.

Ok traded, now I'm just wondering if the number 845 means anything (pricewise) and wether it could increase its value. How many did Microtech make?

845 would be the SN of that Medallion, but I don't have any idea how many were made. I would doubt this knife would be worth any more due to that SN, usually only low number knives hold slightly higher value. HTH
