Nice knife I have the the black blade. I think it is really an under rated knife. almost the perfect size, the only drawback is the placement of the clip. they are going for a premium on the bay, I cant find them anywhere else.

That is probably because they have been discontinued long ago. I wanted the plain edge with D2, I could not get it then. Bummer.

I have one from 1999, great knife you can open a number of ways. Dont make them like the old school manuals anymore.

It's a great little knife. Picked up a Stonewash PE a few years ago from a forum member. Tight lock up. Came shaving sharp.

mine was a black blade also. and you're right about the clip placement! too much of the handle sticking out! i have the same problem with my old MOD Hornet. :)

I have a black PE, and I solved the clip problem by taking the damn
thing off. Mine came with an excellent belt sheath and is a great
small EDC.

Mine also has a nice MT belt sheath. Should be nice to wear it horizontally.
And i do think these oldies have great fit and finish.

I have the drop-point auto version and I always thought it had the best fit and finish and overall look of quality of any knife I own. I was impressed enough that I bought two more MTs... the Vector and the Mini UDT.

Great knife! Congratulations!

Stay sharp,

It's about time. I have owned a mini-socom since 2003 when i purchased new. It is probably my favorite knife in the collection.

The fit and finish is just great and there is a lot of blade for such a compact (when folded) package. Lightweight, too.
