Microtech mislabeled the box (blade steel)

I just bought a Socom Delta clip point in what was supposed to be S30v and much to my surprise the blade is stamped ATS-34. I first thought it was a dealer error, but Microtech clearly had labeled the box S30v.

Does this happen with them often? I don't know much about ats 34 other than it's similar (identical?) to 154cm. Would you send it back? I doubt they have any actual s30vs in stock unfortunately, finding another Socom Delta in my preferred configuration would prove to be difficult I'm afraid.

MicroTech is known for great heat treat on any steel they use and switch steels often: "please note that specified blade steel for each knife can change depending on availability".

It is highly unlikely you would be able to tell a difference in day to day use. ATS-34 is a fine steel. It will serve you well. I have many different Microtechs with steel types all over the map. I can feel the difference between them only when doing side to side comparisons . With that said none that I have owned have performed poorly.
