microtech msi serial number

does the msi not habe a serial number on the blade or pocket clip? i picked one up yesterday at a dealer and noticed when i got home to register the knife online there was no serial number.

Only thing on the blade is the steel designation.

Mine just has the date on the clip - no serial number
