Microtech Option 2

I am the proud owner of a Microtech Option 2, it just arrived. My initial reaction upon thumbing it open was how wide and stout the blade is!!! It is like having a folding ulu in your pocket. I ordered mine with the new boron carbide finish, perhaps to join the coating bandwagon that I have been reading about. I was also taken by how shiny they made the left hand carbon fiber scale, (the right hand, or locking scale is bead blasted steel). It could probably double as a signal mirror in a pinch. I was curious if anyone else has one, and what there reactions might entail. Thanks

I agree completely. Very nice but with an unusually shiny CF.

I like showing the Option 2 to friends to see their reaction when the blade swings open (gently ...). It really is a STOUT blade !

The only gripe I have (problem I have with all bare metal) is the rust on the bead-blasted handlepart.
Is a boron coating on the handle possible ??????

remark : I had Spydies rust on me (Spydercard, Navigator), Gerbers (even the clip !!), and now a Microtech...

Hey Wire Edge, great choice in a nice little knife. I carry mine every day in my wallet.

I have a Columbia that almost seems like it was made to fit this knife.
