Happy New Year! Just wondering about Microtech and their publicity tactics? Follow thru... what ever happened to the scarab 2? is Select Fire discontiued or not? No doubt they make very nice stiff, just why the misinformation?
 
Select fire has been discontinued. There is a "doc"/strider collab coming out. Due sometime spring.

Which Scarab are you referring to? Single edge? The answer on SE is not coming out any time soon. The scarab and scarab exec or both currently available.

Mini Matrix is on hold. Something might be out for blade show.

Currahees are starting to ship this week. Arbiters haven't been started. Crosshairs are available now.

UTX-70 and more Ultratechs are coming.

Whaleshark is not currently on the production list.

This is the MSRP which is technically supposed to be the MAP. However none of the big dealers adhere to the MAP (bummer, but a topic for another thread).

Someone at Microtech is supposed to be sending me a picture tomorrow so I have *something* to list on the site before the first batch comes in.

The Arbiter is tentatively scheduled for "spring".

lol Microtech publicity tactics?

I thought it was 'screw everyone over including customers'.
 
Microtech does all of their knives in batches. That's why you'll often see things that are out of stock. As a dealer I can't just call them up and order another batch of "xxx". They also do a ton of customs. There seems to be some internal discussion over what becomes a custom and what goes to production (matrix is one example).

Regarding some service, they can be a bit slow, but otherwise seem excellent to me. If anyone ever has any issues let me know and I'll see if I can help.
