microtech question

Damn, I was hoping it was an assisted. The select fire is $450, and I just cant bring myself to buy a $450 knife.

Yep, its a manual. It has the worst name of any microtech I've heard of. The "Select Fire" Yea, you can either select from manual or manual.

Hahaha...I love this comment. Its because like the OP stated, the original model was a D/A Auto, Manual folder. The design isn't really different so I guess that's why they just kept the name...could've called it the "single fire" lol

It looks like a great knife. However, the price point when compared to the materials and the customer service quality it is indeed way overpriced. Just my opinion.

Are any of the Microtech knives worth the coin they're asking? It all seems a little steep for a production knife.

In my opinion, yes. Some of the autos are very well made. A lot precision machining goes into making one I'm sure. Iwould also say that it really depends on what you are looking for in a knife.

If I had the coin for the ACTUAL select fire, I would get it, but $300 for a manual folder, egh, I can find something else.

yes , worth every penny , very well made knifes , only problem is unique screws they using .

Your very right.
Not to mention that Anthony Marfione is a piece of s@@t who screws custom makers out of money that he owes them for
using their designs.

Jeepin,
I had not heard much about that part except some low level rumbling. The biggest drawback I've heard was about the poor customer service and horrible experiences people have had when they call for warranty service.

This...

And the handle on the Select Fire is laughable.

A couple of people he screwed off the top of my head. Greg Lightfoot and Bob Terzoula.
