  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Microtech Scarab or Strider SMF DGG

Scarab is awesome, no question! I am not a fan of anything Strider though because they are goofy looking. I have a Scarab and plan on another sometime in the near future.

Not exactly similar knives
So it is going to come down to personal likes and uses
Neither really fit for me, but if I had to choose-Scarab, since I have never had one :)
The SMF would be a bit heavy for my taste, and the Scarab not overly practical(for me), though it might be fun.
So CRK Sebenza is my go to nice practical kmife or maybe a front flipper.

If you force me to choose, I'll take the Strider, provided we're going for an EDC type role.

Wouldn't want either of those two though, don't like frame locks, don't like OTFs, and both are just silly looking in m opinion.

What is your idea behind this thread?

Neither, though I own both Striders and Microtechs. Maybe an auto-Strider?

the microtech hands down. striders make no sense to me. cutting length is weirdly short and handle is weirdly and awkwardly big. horrible design. so many better knives for same money or less.

^^this!

OTF's are quite useful and convenient depending on what you're cutting and if you get a good blade shape - like the Scarab has.
