So I got my Microtech Socom Delta last Friday and was simply amazed by the craftsmanship, feel, and sharpness of the knife. I've been carrying it with me everywhere, doing some minor cutting tasks, and showing it off to my buddies.
Long story short, while fondling my Socom Delta last night I noticed the edge bevels are simply not the same and do not line up where the main and secondary edges of the tanto meet. Although it doesn't really affect the cutting performance per se, I did just drop three hundred of my hard earned dollars on this bad boy and would expect the quality of the edge to meet or exceed the quality of the rest of the construction.
That being said, I have an Edge Pro Apex on its way to me and I'm wondering how simple it would be for me to remedy this issue. Or should I try sending it back?
At any rate, here are some pics.
You can see here that the angle on this side is further back than the angle in the first pic.
Facing the edge you can see the angle where the two bevels meet slanting down towards the right.
