Just ordered one yesterday. It will be my first Microtech knife. The only Microtech I've ever even held is an Ultratech so I'm not sure what to expect. I hope it's as good as everyone says it is, as I would love to make this my everyday carry knife. Lately I've been carrying my SnG, Umnumzaan, and Military. Will this knife compare? It sure looks like it'll give those knives a run for their money.

I picked up a 2012 beadblasted blade, plain edge, with black handles with carbon fiber inserts. Here is a picture from the retailer.

I'm also a Nutnfancy fan, and he raves about this knife. Are his comments well deserved?

I'm debating whether to get this or the delta for my birthday in a few weeks. Love that blade shape!

After watching Jdavis' video on the Socom Elite, I think I made the right choice. I'm sure the Delta is just as nice, but there is just something about the shape of the Socom Elite. It just looks elegant. That mixed with the carbon fiber and aluminum may just come together to be the perfect knife for me. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a knife purchase.

Some more pictures off google.

The Elite is a real keeper. Some people dislike the proprietary screw but bits are available inexpensively. Mine was one of the slickest folders I've owned. I regret trading it off. If they ever make a tip up version of it I will get another.

I just got mine last thursday and it made me put my contego in the knife drawer. Fit and finish on mine is second to none..
