Hey guys, I am wondering if anyone has either the 'tri angle' or 'tri pin' set and can give me measurements? I need to make sure they will fix the microtech's I'm working on before I order, as far as I'm aware there are all sorts of the tri pin and angle sizes. Thanks.

In most of the articles I've read regarding it, the person in question took a wooden dowel and some tenpenny nails and made it work, but that was on a personal knives not a customer's.

Thanks darks, I'm working on a different aspect so hopefully won't need these!

Let me know how it goes, I have an ultratech I wouldn't mind having a bit/driver for.

Wouldn't be hard to replace with more normal screws if one was so inclined 😊

Not everyone has skills like you Josh... ;) I'm no machinist LOL.

If they could only get the originals out!

Exactly my issue with my DOC; I want to mod the clip but can't remove it...:foot::rolleyes::thumbdn:

Screw the customer. Just take a pry bar and pry that pos apart.

Ah, the final and potentially necessary option that I may have to take; outright destruction of my microtech. ;):D:D:D

I still have to take my Ultratech to work and take the sanding belt to the stupid glass breaker clip screw... Half the reason I don't carry it is because I end up impaling my hand on that thing everytime I reach for my keys. The other half is even though they're legal in my state everyone thinks you're a felon for carrying one.

You should post a pic of that mod; I see how that could be a hazard LOL!

Same problem that exists here too; most people go crazy when they see a knife despite pretty much everything being legal...:foot:
