so, I'm sure it has been posted a million times, maybe...I'm a newb...had a question...since sending the knife back to microtech and the whole going through a FFL to get it back seems a pain, I was gonna clean it myself...I ordered the correct bit, etc...was wondering if anyone had any basic tips...like should the knife be open or closed when opening, etc...or anything else to keep in mind...I thoroughly tinker with all my guns, so I feel confident...letme know your thoughts..much thx...randy

1° don't do that.

2° don't do that

3° don't do that

these are very hard to reassemble knives, they use special screw for a reason, it's not a frame lock. there are 2 very powerfull springs that you have to load and i heard that it was very difficult to do without the specific equipment.

now some people probably did this but i remember a thread on a french forum where after a week trying to reassemble one a seller had to find a way to send it to microtech in pieces to have it reassembled at a charge.
