Microtech Warranty

I am about to get a Microtech and I was wondering if taking the glass-breaker screw off the end will void the warranty. I don’t really like the look of it there so I was considering possibly replacing it with a smooth stud or something like that, but I didn’t know if taking it off would count as modifying the knife. I assume it would, but I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with this.

Not if you don’t damage the knife. Of course the glass breaker holds the clip onto the knife on many models. There was a thread in the Automatic Knives subforum which provided a replacement option using a regular screw.
