Man! Microtech lately has been really churning out the MSI and Stitch Ram-Lok’s lately. Even the UT’s have been manufactured faster than recent years. Seems like every Thursday they have a stockpile of them. So much so they are still up on their site. Maybe it’s just me

I love some Microtech but does anyone else feel like they are maybe making too many? I’m not asking because I want to sell them with some overhead cause if anyone has bought from me knows I sell at what I pay or less. I just kind of feel like they may be losing that collection value

This isn’t a bashing post either. Just looking to discuss how others feel about it without becoming a dumpster fire thread lol

I have no idea but if they become cheaper over time that better for people like me who would love to own a microtech but just can’t afford to pay for one. I think they make awesome stuff though. But I usually don’t collect knifes for their value I just like buying ones that I like or think are cool looking.

Seems to me like their production has ramped up significantly. Collector value is definitely an issue with almost any of them it seems. I thought the warhounds and hellhounds would be collectible and they put out more of these every week than I ever thought they would. I still love these design and blade profiles so I’m not upset, it just would’ve been nice if they turned out to be hard to find models that turn into collectors. It does make it easier to pick them up on the secondary market at a deep discount even if they are NIB.

I'm right there with you

100% on point

I do like the warhounds and hellhounds. I would love to find a hellhound UTX-85 shadow (2 of them, one to carry and one to stare out lol).
However, I am not a fan of the Razor. But again I guess I would need to actually see one in person to really know.

For the past month or two, I have been trying to get down to mills rivers to take some knives down there for a spa day but life has gotten in the way.

Here is my biggest thing. what I said up above about having 2 of the same. They are amazing blades but if they are BNIB, I don't want to use them. lol, I end up selling them and regretting it later. I love the Blem page they have on their site. But I always end up missing out. example, They had an Apocalyptic Stonewashed Glykon on there today for just $404 and I had it in my cart. I feel like I missed it by seconds.

After poking around like I should have before posting, I think you're right.

I suspect I'm not supposed to paste the link, but there's a "Rikeknife collaboration" page on their site that lists the Bravo, Anax and the Kiroh pens.

on the MTK site or Rike site?

MSI is made in house. It seems like they are only selling a handful on the site each week. When I got mine a month or two back it was #1525. That’s along way to match UT numbers 😄 still don’t see many at dealers yet.

And the price one dealer is posting, (who does not have any in stock yet) is $399. How do you like it after having had yours for a while?

I just got one last night. Caveat up front, I bought this for my brother in law.
For me it was quite a bit bigger than I thought it was. I immediately noticed that it was always difficult to get my hand in place to open the blade. As the OP mentioned it has an unnatural awkward grip on the scales.
The blade once you can get your finger on the hole, opens smoothly and effortlessly. Locks in place with an authoritative snap and is very solid. However, I’m used to my BM 940 in terms of shape and size, and use the lock bar to flick the knife open… the MSI will take some training. (Muscle memory) to perfect that type of opening with the RAM LOK mechanism.
Final thought: I would love to see a MSI-85 version of this knife.
This what I wrote about it in another thread.

I really hope they make a MSI-85. I think that might be the perfect carry for me.

Too many? lol damned if you do damned if you don’t… I get it tho, if someone overpaid a bit on the secondary for a hard to find model, and then they end up making a ton the value goes down. I wanted a Socom Elite for a long time before I eventually found one.
Microtech has a great warranty I will say that. I had some lock rock on my tanto Elite, and they took care of the problem and sent the knife back perfect in about a week and a half. 👍
