I have a stone-washed Medallion. I really love the design, particularly as a neck knife. The overall length and flatness make it easy to carry and conceal.
The Medallion has an excellent grip with what amounts to an integral lower guard. Even though the grip is skeletonized metal I have never had it slip. It is also comfortable in my hand during extended use. If you want more than a three-finger grip you can add a lanyard, but I haven't felt the need.
The Medallion's blade is just about perfect for a multi-purpose knife of this length. The point is sharp, the edge has lots of belly, and the recurve adds to your options when slicing. I do have to say that mine arrived from the factory with a terrible sharpening job. The point was almost blunt and the edge was dull. Some work on my 204 fixed it up, but Microtech dropped the ball.
I've heard a lot of complaints about the Medallion's sheath. Mine has been adequate, but not great. Retention is good and positive. There is some rattle. The different options for carry position and angle have come in handy. One of these days I will probably get a custom kydex sheath made for it.
Hope this helps. I'm not much of a reviewer.
