I really like the solid lockup of the microbar, but I know that it depends on the coil spring. Has anybody ever heard of that spring breaking or losing it's tension? It looks pretty strong.
 
i have never heard of probs w/the microbar, i have had several knives with it and all were rock solid, a good system imho, love my SOCOM elite,

In effect, there are three springs under the Microbar of my Amphibian. I took two out and it still locked perfectly.

So don´t worry!:)

Thanks for setting my mind at ease. I could only see one when I looked down there, the others must be farther back.
