One for the Blade Show, if I can hang onto it!
Not a full length "chopper", but I think it'll get the job done, regardless.
Stabilized curly bubinga take-down handle. Fully file shaped to fit the faceted spacer and butt cap. Both butt cap and guard have poilished facets, leaving the flat surfaces satin finished. I like this as it gives the hardware a "jeweled" look.
1/2 length un-sharpened clip.
A 7 1/2" differentially heat treated and satin hand-rubbed 5160 blade forged down from 1 inch square stock.
Overall length of 12 1/2" not including finial.
I had a lot of fun on this one!
Thanks for letting me share.

Definitely one of my favorites of yours. I really like the handle, guard, buttcap and spacer work you did. Really nice.

I don't like this handle design as well as some of your others, however the fact that you are offering varied designs is a good thing.

That handle looks amazing!

The temper line looks very close to the edge near the ricasso. Is that an illusion of my monitor?

Lookin good, Karl. At this rate, you should have lots of knives for Blade. I will start mine around mid April. If you want to save knives for the show, then don't show them here :)

I've watched your stuff for some time now, and have liked the idea of your take-down construction. However, this is the first one that really stands out to me! Good thing it's gone!!! :D
While faceted handles aren't a thing with me, I love the overall affect you got in the way you've pulled it off, and, it really goes well with that blade style, as it's the style that really draws me in!
Too bad I won't see it at Blade, but I do hope to run into you and see what you manage to bring!!! Good luck with the show!

If the guy goes ahead with the purchase, he's going to let me hang onto it until after the Show is over.
You might still be able to see it!
