This one features an overall length of 10", with a 5 1/2" blade of 3/16" thick O1 steel. It has a rounded spine, sharpened top edge, and a handle of black garolite, with red liners and flared copper pins. These are available to order, with a choice of two versions.

The first version will be as shown, with the flared copper tubes, and a pancake style sheath with a strap around the handle. Handle choices are, black garolite, or black, tan, or green canvas micarta. Price will be $250 + $8 shipping.

The second version will have your choice of solid or hollow 3/8" diameter aluminum pins, and a leather pouch type sheath. You can order these with any standard handle material, including wood, for $230 + $8 shipping.

Wow, that looks fantastic. Can you inform me about garolite? I'm not familiar with that material...

Hey John -

Kirill asked what it would cost to polish a knife like that - he said that this one is the nicest knife he has seen from you yet, and he said if he ordered one he would want to pay extra to have the blade polished -

I don`t think with the equipment I have that I can get it any more polished. He must not have seen the big XD, to me, that is the knife.

For those not following - I had discussed the sheath John made for the XD XT, and said that I would be rounding off the tab for the retention strap snap -

John heard that and made that mod on the new sheath!

That looks great!

Seeing it go from a partially finished blade hanging on a nail to that thing of beauty is pretty cool.

I can't wait for the chance to fondle this one.:D
