Hey guys, does anyone know of a good medium to hard use use mid-sized folder. It would be great if it could go accordingly, but if not, it's fine.

Blade length of 3.00-3.50
Handle length of 3.90-4.70
Not synthetic handle material
Any company(preferably benchmade or spyderco)
Somewhat thin in profile
$80-$160

Thanks!

Not synthetic? So you want bone or stag handles, something along those lines?

Hmm.... Look into some offerings by Great Eastern Cutlery.

940 or gayle bradley. Both are fantastic knives and can handle hard tasks very well.

I would've included the GB but didn't due to width and thickness. OP asked for "somewhat thin in profile". OP should handle GB. It's one of the absolute best Spydercos. A narrower and thinner Spyderco would be the Caly 3.5.

I had thay same thought on the thickness. But you nailed it with the caly 3.5! Gayle bradley being my no.1 favorite spydie followed by the caly :)

Mid-use.

Gadzooks, is that actually a term now?

To be quite honest, the majority of knives (at least when it comes to edge geometry or blade grind) are far more overbuilt than is necessary. Spyderco has many options to choose from. Personally, I'd swing for a Caly 3.

Guys, pay attention to the OP's requirements. Most of the knives recommended have synthetic handles of some sort, and he doesn't want that.

KnifeCo.1216, I do think that looking for a Spyderco or Benchmade folder with natural handle material only will rule out most of their offerings.

Spyderco has the Sage 4 with ironwood handles, but it's over your $160 limit.

Benchmade's Bone Collector 150202 could be what you're looking for: D2 blade, 3.36" blade, axis lock and walnut handles, at $135 or so. There's also the BM made Lonewolf Trask which seems to fit your conditions perfectly and costs only $70. I've got a Lonewolf Longhorn (same knife as the Trask, made before BM bought the company, with S30V steel) and like it very much. It's a really nice knife, perfect size for an EDC folder. I don't know if there have been any quality changes since BM took over, though.

Aliminum is not a synthetic material. The 940 was one of my suggestions. Metals on earth are not man made, just processed by man.

First time I ever heard it.

Nice catch...thanks for the heads up. One wonders if we have met him before....hmmm.
