Looks like we will have to wait till mid summer for the rest of the san mai tanto and tai Pan models from an email I got from cold steel.

I was hoping that the new knives would be available by the time of the next Parking Lot Sale, which is May 19-20. Was really looking forward to handling them in person and seeing first hand how they compare to the older Japanese made San Mai blades. It appears that there were some San Mai SRK and Recon Tantos available but they quickly sold out. Also appears that there were some Drop Forged Push Knives too, but sold within a few days of their arrival.

That’s crazy they sell out so fast but I guess there are more knife guys in the USA, some stores in Australia still sell the Japanese san mai recon tanto at a really good price I don’t think they know they are collectors items now.

This thread if referring to the new VG10 core San Mai Taiwan made models being introduced this year.
The SM Trail Master remains made in Seki Japan with VG1 core and is available all over
at prices ranging from $254 to $312.- The catalog only shows the MSRP.

Does this include the Trail Master? Is the SM TM really priced at the level it is in the catalog?
The New 2018 san mai Taipan is shown at $500 on cold steels site but I know that is going for around $200 so they may have put the wrong price on the san mai trail master I’m not too sure.
