Mid-Tech Duke Review in Knife Reviews & Testing

Nice! Thanks for posting that my friend.

I enjoyed this review. I like the size reference shots of the handles - nice touch when you explained that the handle is larger in all three dimensions. Thanks Mist.

Thanks P, I thought with so many viewing things on their phone these days the size ref. shots could help people see the similarities and the differences better.

Hey Brian,

You always set the standard for what a good review should look like. Your photos are absolutely killer like always. The Duke is a very capable knife that performs big without being too big as you pointed out. The neutral balance shot and comparison photos with the Bushfinger tell me a lot. I see a production (or Custom Shop) Duke in my future.

Thanks for another great review my friend!

Phil

Thanks Phil! Glad you enjoyed the post. The Duke is definitely not a small knife, but due to the great ergos and excellent balance it handles like an extension of my own arm.

Epic review and pics as usual. Cant wait to pick up all three mid-techs.

Thanks man, glad you liked it. Actually there are 5 all told. The Camp is larger than the Duke, and then there is the smallest one the Runt.

ooh duh, was not thinking. Yeah all five of those jokers. Think I will do a HB next, been on the fence between a mid-tech vs a custom shop vs a custom. Like usual I want all of them but gotta plan. Next step, win the lottery.

I really like the Hiking Buddy model in general. I have ever since Andy released it and I have bought a few over the years. So far, for my uses, the mid-tech version works best for me. I love the S35VN steel, and I really like the crenelated handle in use in the field.

That was a great review. Thanks!!

Thanks man, glad you liked it!

 Excellent review Brian. I gotta get one of the S35VN Dukes. Looks like a great knife for Florida. I've been holding out to see if I can snag one of the custom shop versions.

Thanks Gus. I think it will be a great knife for Florida. I would think the custom shop versions should start popping up soon.
