Thanks guys! It's in the current issue of the Prepper's Survival Manual, put out by by American Survival Guide.

That's a centerfold worthy of the Pirate's Cove. Well...ok...it's more suited to here. Congrats on being published again.

Nice knife and all, but I can't get my eyes off that striker and fire steel. Saw it on the Newsstand at the local Wally world. Congratulations on getting published.

Lol, I don't know... it's been several years, but the last time I was in the cove they preferred more provocative or more controversial centerfolds :D

Awesome!!

Very cool!

Awesome!!!!!

Thanks guys!!

You're the best Brian.

Thanks Andy :)

Yeah, they are a good bit larger than life as well :) I have been writing for some time now, I wrote for Tactical Knives the last five years they were in print, I've written for Tactical Weapons, American Survival Guide, SOF, Self Reliance Illustrated, Woods Monkey, and Survival Quarterly. Once you have been at it for a while the getting published is the easy part. It's getting published in paying venues that is the challenge, as it is a pretty competitive market. The position I was just offered at ASG has me really looking forward to ramping up my work for them.

Very nice Brian. Looks to be some quality cutting tools in that edition :D

Reading through I see several good examples of quality cutting tools being used, and I like that. I like this type of writing much more that the T&E type material I did for TK, TW, and SOF. I do enjoy doing the R&D and T&E type work for companies with tools that are still in developmental phases, but when it comes to actual publications I enjoy doing skills based materials more so than gear reviews. In the skills related materials we get to choose the tools we work with, so we can choose them based on what works well for us, rather than being asked to use a specific tool to make an advertiser happy. I think this helps the projects flower more naturally and feel more organic and less synthetic. Andy's Kephart is my favorite profile for notching, and trap making so far, and it will show up more as I go into more detailed pieces on this subject. We have a lot of good things planned for ASG and the series of manuals we are working on, and a lot of knowledgeable people involved with it. I like the direction we are moving in and really look forward to it. With one of my personal interests being to get the youth more involved and more well informed, it is something I have been preparing Alayna to work on with me all of her young life, and I am really looking forward to having her more involved in my professional work as well. I think a lot of good things can come from the projects we are working on, and I am proud to be a part of it.
