Does anyone know if there is a length limit in these areas.

Also are there regulations against locks?

Or am i just going to have to call a consulate or embassy?

It makes sense that alot of people dont know the answer, but does anyone have any advice or information on International knife laws?

Are there no members of this forum that live in any of those places or that travel to them and may have found out?

I don't know about the laws there, but my advice is to carry a knife that is cheap and does not look "treathening" in the eyes of the police.
Maybe a folder with wood handles, 8cm or less blade and no crazy grinds. Opinel #6?
Something like that should work for most countries

If you are going to be in the cities, you may be happier if you carry a normal looking pocketknife, or an SAK. If you are going to be out in the country, they will likely be less hyper about bigger blades, lockbacks, sheath knives, etc. I've travelled in the ME, though not in those particular countries, and this is what I have noticed.

The police are very serious in most of the ME. I don't mean that Western cops aren't, but ... personal rights are paramount here. There, it is much less that way. In their countries, it's their rules. Be careful, be smart, don't start screaming "but I'm an American," and you should be fine.
