Middle Eastern blades.

Given that we have a substantial presence in the Middle East, I wonder if anyone has seen or heard of the work of the indigenous knife makers. Does anyone have any info to share?

A few of the guys have posted pictures of knives recently brought over from there. Most of these would be tourist-class from our viewpoint. The Middle East has some very effective designs, but not much of a tradition of producing high-class items for the general market.
