Thanks guys! :) It may not always make sense until the end when I tie the bits together. But I'm working on three literary projects at once and so they tend to get intermingled a bit at times. I am working on a book that based on a section of my own life, the years from 15 to 18 when I was living on the streets. Then I am also working on another book that involves a lot of imagery...including cooking, and so it all gets mingled into the influences Tolkien's Hobbits had on me long ago for some hopefully interesting art in the still life scenes I create to use for desk top slide shows as memory stimulating writing aids.

Thanks for sharing.

Curious I am - who made the large, upside down blade in the left side of the pics?

I always enjoy looking at all the cool items in your pics. Thanks for sharing!

Glad you liked the post :) That one is 1/4 thick piece of L-6 with a Masur Birch handle. It's a beast of a parang made by my friend Jake Kirks of PB&J Knives. He named this one the Big Jake. I kid him that it looks like something Beorn would use for a veggie cleaver :)

Thanks Greg! I'm glad you're digging it. I'm slowly but sure getting my accents laid out the way I want them :)

Thanks Mistwalker. I have seen PB&J work online, but not in hand. Big Jake certainly looks like the bane of most vegetable matter, whether wielded by Beornings or otherwise.
