midwest knife show

what will be at the show (besides knives)? I live in Springfield and would be interested in going to a good knife show.

All I can tell you is the show is put on by the Gateway Area Knife Club. So far 80 tables have been filled. I dont know if its 80 tables of just knives or if they will have related items also. A 2 or 3 hour drive should be no problem :D

Sounds interesting. Anything has to be better than the knife and gun shows here. Every once in a great while I'll see a custom, but most of it is either ordinary production or cheap knock-offs.

Springfield hosts the North American Knife Collectors Ass. (NAKCA)show in June for the last few years. It's a pretty good show. Lots of older collectibles, about 20 makers. None of the "big" names, but a good time. Lots of knives, used and new from "big names." Good place to pick up collectibles, like old Case, SAK, Randall, etc. There's also a good yearly show in Arkansas and Tulsa, not too far away from Springfield, but I can't remember when or where.

I don't know how they've been in the past, but the knife show this past year wasn't very good. Not many booths, and not what I expected at all.

I will be at this St. Louis show, and can't wait! This is a knife only show, and that is all you should find. Custom knives, factory knives, pocketknives, you name it. I will be there with a table, as I am a member of the Gateway Area Knife Club. Looking forward to seeing a whole bunch of you guys at the show!

I don't know what you expected, but I enjoyed the show. They had what I thought was a lot of tables, 80 - 100. Remember, it's not a gun show (less people) and it's not the big Blade show. I got some great deals on collectibles and a custom fixed blade from a local maker. It was a little thin on good deals for production knives, but that you can get at any gun show.
