Might be ordering a custom shop knife. Any suggestions?

Basically this is asking "which knife should I get for camping" for the 100th time but since it'll be a custom shop order, it's less about the model and more about the design features and specs...

It's going to be a general use camping knife for small hands. I was originally going to go with a BOSS Jack, but I've got three CGs already and my wife thinks the Uncle MoFo has a cool shape. I agreed and just from looking at it thought it would be a good chopper with the recurve and comfortable to choke up on for fine work with its light weight. But after reading a bit about it on here, it seems better as a fighting knife, and I'm not a fighter. How would you unfighterize and camperize an Uncle MoFo?

Any other suggestions?

Also, what type of handles are there? I've never understood exactly what EU and Magnum were. Is TAC another type of handle? Other than that, I'm only familiar with Fusion and Ergo.

Good morning, how've you been? Sounds like you want a recurve variant of something in the 6-8 inch size. Start with what handle fits you. Sounds like you tried a few since I saw you. Type of handles?- Magnum= thicker scales, TAC= the handles found on SJTAC or BATAC (to me it's a fighter handle, but still very comfortable), EU= I've seen, but never handled one- I'll let someone with personal knowledge have that one. Again, I think you should start with what handle fits you best, then go from there. By the way, you realize a true Custom, means the Busse "2 week" wait. You might find a great variant on the exchange while you wait. Do you know if Busse will be at the NYCKS in a few weeks? Garth and crew had some great pieces there last time.
 
Hey, Steve! It's been a while. I've still only held three different Busses: CABS, BJ, and B11. I haven't handled enough knives to intimately feel and know the differences between .22" and .25", recurved or straight blades, and a bunch of other points in design.

I don't think mine will be a true custom. I was about to just go with a special order BOSS Jack, and I might end up doing just that to avoid that two-week wait. Let's see what's available from KnoboGanza first... I didn't see Busse on the roster for NYCKS. I'll call and ask them later today.
