I have a lot of stuff on my "want list", but one of my wants is a tactical handmade, also a gentlemans folder handmade. I am looking to spend between 200-300 for a well made piece, a definite user. Which makers should I be looking at? I realize that mastersmiths command much more, how important is an ABS journeyman certificate, or any ABS certificate for that matter? Are eBay makers even an option? Should I start my search my going to local makers? Any makers in the MD DE VA PA WV area? I'm on the Mason Dixon line north of B'more, so a maker on the VA/NC line is not an option . Thanks for your help.
