These two just keep on working. Sorry for the crappy scanner pic (camera died):

The Urban was my go-to knife for moving. That thin flat grind just ate through cardboard, the thick stuff, like nobody's business. It even got stuck at one point, and did that pressure on the spine thing that is normally a time a lock comes in handy; with the choil though, no problem at all.

The Titanium Military was used by me, sold to my brother, used as his EDC for well over a year (till they thought it looked too "weapony"), and then traded back to me.
I put a new tip on it, as the old tip got the bad end of an interaction with a steel pipe, and sharpened out all the nicks and dings from staples, steel, and whatever else he used it on and around. I told him it was tough, so me used it like it was tough. Turns out it is.
I've been using it a fair bit since I got it back.

So there you have it. Two mighty slicers, one with a solid lock, the other with no lock at all. All I have to say is...

Go Spyderco!!!

When I first got it, I didn't care for it much. Well, that changed as soon as there was some cardboard to be broken down. It just kept cutting and cutting and cutting. :D
That sold me on ZDP, the folks in Seki nailed the heat treat on that batch for sure.

The ZDP-189 Stretch is one of my all time favorite folders. The blade profile is about as near to perfect as one can get on a lighter use EDC folder. The ZDP-189 is strange at first, but when you get the hang of it it's quite easy to sharpen and can hold an edge for quite sometime.

Sorry, to jump in....but my Spyderco ffg knives are slicers, and that is why I buy them.
The working end of a knife is the blade, and Spyderco has nailed it. Now, if I could only get one with an equally great handle. The Stretch is as close as I have come, but I would like something a little thicker.
It may be blasphemy in Spydi circles, but I like Benchmade handles and locks better. I just wish they could collaborate one time with a Stretch blade and a Griptilian handle/lock.

My ZDP endura beveled at 22° and micro'ed at 30°, finished at 400 grit moldmaster, is quite a slicer.
