I've been suffering terribly from these suckers over the last few months. :(

While my head has been clear, I thought I'd paint picture of one...

You know what solved mine? Water every day in large quantities instead of all this other stuff. I was simply severely dehydrated all the time. What do you have to lose? Poor health?

Awesome work, BTW.

that painting is evil, just like your migraine. I like it. Amazing expression of the pain that you've been going through. Hope you feel better Rob

I've been a migraine sufferer for the last 25 years...that looks about right!

That painting is just fantastic! -Matt-

Rob, I know the feeling of them!
Your painting is correct! (fantastic btw)
MMM is correct, migraines suck and not well either.

Awesome painting. A good rendition of a true internal monster. I was diagnosed with migraine headaches when I was 12. My wife gets them so bad that she end up in the ER. When they get that bad they give her a shot of phenergan and dilaudid.

I feel your pain man.

Yep that picture is what it looks like.
Luck i only get one real bad migraine a year that keeps me off work. I think cheep shite chocolate gives it to me?
But i just love Beer and chocolate at the same time. Is that strange? Im told it is.

I think migraines have a lot to do with unresolved food allergies. But really, unless you are ultra-sensitive to light and feel like the slightest movement or sound will cause you to vomit, it isn't a migraine. I grit my teeth at night and if I don't wear a special mouthpiece, I will get unbearable tension headaches, but they aren't migraines.

There are different types of migraines. I had Ocular Migraines in my 30s. I lost chunks of my vision and finally it got to where I would lose almost all my vision for extended periods, but without the pain. I didn't know such a thing existed until I went to a specialist. I rarely get real migraines anymore, and my wife who was a long time sufferer is better now that caffeine is no longer in her diet. She has some very specialized meds for when it does rear it's ugly head though.

Man, i feel your pain. I get e'm 4-5 a day for up to 6 weeks at a time. I've gone a whole month with nothing more than an hour or two of sleep a night. What a miserable experience migraines can be.

OMG. Just reading these posts and looking at your painting makes me feel this.... head...

... No! Stop!

I never had migraines and hopefully never will. Get better soon. All of you!

And let's drink water, water and more water

beautiful work, rob.

my doc sent me in for an MRI, turns out I have a herniated disc at C5/C6. they're going to treat that and see if it helps.

I rock a migraine about once a week. On the day I get one, throw up what ever I eat. I can't even keep water down. Usually after throwing up and fully emptying my stomach, and then drinking a bunch of water and puking again, the headache gets a little better.

They are weird, I used to get them as a kid once a week for years. Then I hit my teens and they went away for about 15 or so years. Now they are back.

I try to avoid chocolate, and really aged cheese (both of which I love). I suppose I should go back to the DR about it.

As a young kid they tried a blood pressure medication on me, then took me off because too many kids were having heart attacks from it.

Luckily my migraines don't affect my vision. I do have the light/sound sensitivity (not as bad as some), but the nausea and vomiting everything gets old!

Sorry to invade the thread, but you might not have migraines but a cluster headache. You might want to see a neurologist.

G'day Rob,
Migraines suck. :D I used to get them but have seemed to grow out of them over the last ten years or so. I used to dose my self up on those yellow mersedol ( probably spelled nothing like that. :D)Tablets until I passed out.

The picture just about sums it up, except I used to get all these little stars going by. :D
Cheers, Ian.

I get them from time to time, especially when I was younger. When one hits now I have to pop a couple pills the doc gave me, get the room cold and dark, and crash out until I can bear to be in light or around people. No kidding, I will turn the window unit on in the winter if I get one--can't get too cold.

Rob, the pic is spot on. Hopefully they will pass soon.
